Match Report: Hard-fought away win at CA Osasuna (0-1)
André Almeida’s fine strike earns Valencia CF all three points in tough away Monday night meeting.
Valencia CF took a trip up North to Pamplona, Navarra to take on Club Atlético Osasuna on Monday Night Football at El Sadar at 9 pm kick-off time (CET) on Matchday 31 of LaLiga EA Sports.
Valencia CF had a quiet start to the game looking the get on the counter-attack at every opportunity, with some defending to do and struggling to keep possession in the early goings of the game at El Sadar Stadium.

Alas, Momentum swung in the opposition’s favour and Valencia CF were made to dig deep in the closing stages of the first half as Club Atlético Osasuna dictating play and a flurry of chances with Valencia CF Struggling to shake off that stifling pressure.
Fran Pérez fired the ball into the side-netting following a lightning break. Valencia CF managed to hold out to edge Club Atletico Osuna at the interval by 0-1.
The same script followed in the second stanza with the home side coming out all guns blazing looking to get back on level terms as Valencia CF struggled to settle into the game in the first few minutes.
Valencia CF continued to show out in defense whilst trying tear away on the break through quick forays forward. Valencia CF continued to withstand the relentless waves of attacks for large periods of the second half.
Rubén Baraja shuffled his pack with a double change with Hugo Duro and André Almeida making way for Alberto Marí and Hugo Guillamón and shortly after Fran Pérez came off for Peter Federico.
Baraja made yet another double substitution with Javi Guerra and Diego López making way for Selim Amallah and Thierry Rendall.
Alas, the game took a dramatic turn in the dying embers of the game when Hugo Guillamón found himself on the wrong end of a hapless last gasp penalty. Thankfully, Ante Budimir fluffed his kick from twelve yards out as he miscued the ball which trickled into Giorgi Mamardashvili's grasp and the full-time wihistle was blown.
Valencia CF came away with three massive points away from home with back-to –back away wins and their fourth clean sheet in the last five games.
